Service Description

Los Museos de Oaxaca Oaxaca has a museum dedicated entirely to postage stamps. Another sits behind the walls of a centuries-old building, holding jewelry pulled from ancient tombs. This four-week tertulia walks you through both — and everything in between. Each session opens a different door: the textiles and local cultures that shape daily life, the contemporary art pushing against tradition, a 19th-century archive most visitors never find, and the photography and popular art that show how Oaxaca sees itself. What you'll explore: Week 1 – Local cultures, textiles, and graphic arts Week 2 – Modern art, jewelry, and graphic arts Week 3 – The 19th century in postage stamps and visual art Week 4 – Popular art, photography, and visual art Course details: 4 sessions · 1 hour each · Once a week Maximum 3 students per group All sessions online via Zoom This is Oaxaca seen through its museums — and talked about in Spanish. Join us.
