Raiz que no desaparece
Thursdays 6:00 PM - Oaxaca Time
Service Description
In this course, we will read Raíz que no desaparece by Alma Delia Murillo, a contemporary Mexican novel that explores memory, identity, and the search for loved ones. The story follows the experience of mothers in Mexico who are searching for their missing children. Through this journey, the novel reflects on loss, resilience, and the emotional strength required to continue searching while holding on to memory. For Spanish students, this book offers a powerful opportunity to engage with real social themes in Mexico while expanding their vocabulary through expressive, meaningful language. During each session, students will read selected sections of the book and come together to discuss the story in Spanish. These conversations help students express their ideas, reflect on the themes, and connect language with real-life experiences. This course is designed for intermediate and advanced students (B2–C2) who want to deepen their Spanish through literature and guided discussion.
